Tutorial Thanks

Contributed by Unaekseveer1 on Thursday, 29th August 2002 @ 08:44:10 AM in AEST
Topic: ThankYouPoems

I’m writing this verse to my tutors
Without whom I would get very stuck
Just by placing my name on the big-board
Into your feast of knowledge you allow me to tuck.

Not knowing just what to expect
Somewhat worried about taking this course
Whereas once feeling sluggish like a donkey
You’re developing this soul into a horse.

Never moaning or laughing behind me
Silly questions I know I must ask
Reassuring this scattered mind into an order
Enough and more for completing these tasks.

My appreciation is on show not enough
Although plenty of this I do hold
Without Your guidance through all of these questions
Not one page of this learning could unfold!

Special thanks to you all of my tutors
Even before I’ve completed my tests
You are all giving in such valuable confidence
Allowing me to earn back once lost self-respect.

Thankyou!

Hi Penny, No they haven't seen this yet(unless they read this site)! I will give it to them and I really hope they like it.
Thankyou for helping to expand my confidence with your kindness, it is working, slowly but surely!

With love
Dean ;-)

Dea, this is a really great poem. I love it. Back in may of 2000 I wrote a poem similar to this about my very favorite teacher. She was my chorus teacher and I had her for about 4 years, and she made me feel really good about not only my self but also my singing, which is one of the things that I am very hard on my self about. Even though every one tells me I have a beautiful voice. My mom has even asked me to sing at her wedding, which made me really happy, I am going to enjoy that. But no matter what anyone sayd I am way to hard on my self about my singing. I always have been even though I have been singing since I was 4 years old. Any way woderful poem.

Dean, I'm sorry I spelled you name wrong before. I have been having trouble spelling things all day.

Dea? That's just not good enough Cand. Hehehehe...
I can't comment on if you have a good voice or not, but if your Mom has asked you to do this very special thing, then I'm sure you can trust her judgement, you must be good!
I'll bet you're gonna be nervous though, I know I would be, if I could sing that is!!

All but one of the tutors at the college are excellent at making you feel like you can achieve anything, they're excellent and I'm very lucky to have them there. The people on this site that comment on my work have exactly the same effect I might add, and for this I thank you.

With love
Dean:-)

Dean, Yes I am VERY nervous about singing at my mom's wedding. But I have always been nervous about singing in public. I get terrible stage fright. But at least at the wedding it is only going to be our family and friends, i think I can sing in front of them. Only time will tell. I have until May 12th to work on my courage. You were very close to one of my nick names with Cand; the nickname my mom gave me a long time ago is Candi.
