Dear Diary:
Today is going reasonably well. The first day in a new school is always a tough one, but today is an exception. I have gotten to all my classes on time, and even made a friend! I was eating lunch (alone of course) and he came up to me and told me, he had forgotten his name; and could he have mine. Well, how could I resist, and so handsome too! I told him my name was Dianne, and he invited me to join him in a game of hacky sack. I have no co-ordination, but he promised to teach me...

October 11th.

Dear Diary:
Well, he finally managed to remember his name. It is Tom, or Thomas, as he hates to be called! ;) We have been seeing each other for a week now, and I would be a fool not to notice the passes he is making at me. But that's ok, I think he's cute too. And he's so charming. Just yesterday he gave me his coat when a massive downpour erupted. He was soaked to the bone, and I felt bad and good at the same time. (I never reallized the body he has) ;) But it's not just that. We talked for hours at the coffee shop... I connect with him SO much it is like he is a part of me! He has had a hard life, though. He told me of how he grew up in an abusive home after being abandoned by his parents, and he actually started to cry, although I could see him trying to hide it. I felt so bad for him I gave him a huge hug... I like him... I do...
(sigh) Only time will tell what is to transpire between us. Hold on, Dear Diary, the phone is ringing....

That was Tom! We are going to see a movie tomorrow night, and then take a drive in his new Supra!! Oooh :D

October 18th.

Dear Diary:
Today Tom asked me if I would be his girl!!! Of course I said yes, I wouldn't pass this up in the world!! He is so nice, he bought me roses. Yellow roses!! He knows I love yellow roses!! I am going to cry I am so happy. : ' )

December 17th

Dear Diary:
I am so confused. Tommy and I have been going out for almost two months now to this day... For the first five weeks or so, everything was like heaven. He was all I could ever want. We slept together on the 9th of November. I remember, because I marked it on my calander as being the day I lost my virginity. I was wonderful. It was everything I thought it would be. Tom was so gentle; it didn't hurt at all; I had been afraid it would.

(sigh) But 6 days ago Tom picked me up from work. Driving home, I casually mentioned that I was planning on going to the gym with some new friends of mine, Ben and Dave. His reaction was like none I had seen before... He skid to a halt on the side of the road and yelled at me that he didn't want me hanging out with them, that I was HIS girl, couldn't I see that? I was speechless. Instantly his countenance softened and he leaned over and gathered me in his arms, apologising, saying he just didn't want to lose me, is all.
3 days later I was slightly late to meet him at his house, I had to co-ordinate homework with a guy friend who'd been sick, so we exchanged info just down the road. It turns out Tom had come to look for me when I had not arrived and had seen us, because when I stepped into his house he shouted and berated me, telling me how, didn't he say he didn't want me hanging out with any other guys? I started to protest, and Dear Diary, he hit me, a glancing backhand to the shoulder. I stumbled back startled, staring at the purple buise forming on my arm. Immediately he was by my side, crying and hugging me and kissing me and saying he was sorry... but after what happened in the car so soon before, I don't know if I should believe him... he swears he loves me, and I can reciprocate it fully, despite his faults!

... I just don't know what to do...
