[title] => The Holidays Without my Grandma
[time] => 2003-12-14 01:05:27
[hometext] => This year is the first year of which I didn't have with my father's mother, my grandma
[bodytext] => I can remember, You never forgot my birthday, I can remember when you sat me on your lap, And showed me how to sow, I can remember when you lost your memory, You still remembered me, I can remember when that memory was gone, You still loved me the same, I can remember that phone call, When my mother face went blank, I can remember her words after that, When she told me you were gone. I won't let it be for good, I'll see you after this, Maybe not for awhile, But I'll long that day, When I don't have to cry, To see your face again, I couldn't stand to see you put in the Earth, So I had to watch from a distance, And hold my tears for my sister, To be the strong male, But I'll cry them now for you, Express them through this poem, To say I still love you. I wish I could have one more hug, I'll cut my legs as low as you want, See you eye to eye, Just to see it's o.k., To see your still there, But I'll accept it isn't true, Even if I have to cry as hard as I am now, This is the first Christmas here without you, The first Thanksgiving past, I'm thankful for your memory, And these tears I've cried, Are my gift to you, I still love you grandma.
