Smugly sitting amongst your friends
A smile on your face as you preached of your morals
That same smile i saw that night
When you watched me struggle and fight
But i had no chance
You made sure of that
There were plenty of you to keep me down
And never once did i see you frown
I saw you today
Sharing your views in class
About ethics and crime and hate
So self righteous you were
A confident air about you
That same confidence i saw on your face that night
As you had your friends restrain me
A young woman drugged and beaten
Were you strong then?
I saw you today
Laughing heartily and telling jokes
Smacking your friend on the back
While you had a couple of smokes
I heard that same laugh that night
As you walked away and i was left there
Filthy, used, beaten, and ashamed
You walked out of the room washed your hands
Went back to your party
I fight to be strong
Day in and day out
sometimes i win the daily battle
Yet sometimes it is too hard
I saw you today
Tauntingly smirking in my direction
I had to walk out
Today i may have lost this battle
But I promise never to give up
I just couldnt be that brave this day... [comments] => 3 [counter] => 167 [topic] => 43 [informant] => Avery [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 5 [ratings] => 1 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => oops )

You didn't loose that day. You are brave for just going on! You are very brave and strong.
