Array ( [sid] => 2924 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => Forever Is Not Too Long [time] => 2002-08-28 16:39:49 [hometext] => I wrote this for my girlfriend Terri Baker, I am going to propose to her this weekend and wanted to do it through poetry, I hope she likes it. [bodytext] => A passionate outcry of the love I feel towards you
erupts from deep within my outstretched arms
every memory of you that captivates my senses
diminishes the pain I have felt up to this day
The next time you reach out to embrace me
you will surely feel the pounding of my heart
I will cherish each day we are given together
until the winds of eternity arrive to carry us away

The trail of honor is always boldly enlightened
by the truth that ultimately will set us free
the torch I set ablaze to guide your way
must also brighten the paths upon my own quest
I vividly see how the serenity in your eyes
has tamed the firestorm once raging in my mind
holding firmly onto the gift you have given me
as I bask in the radiance with which I was blessed

My shortfalls have existed with a steadfast fear
of blackness overwhelming the impending nightfall
I started my journey to find an angel in the stars
only to end up chasing shadows in the skies of blue
Although my wings of hope at times became weary
I still anticipated the moment you would appear
knowing that forever is not too long to wait
for the chance to spend just one lifetime with you [comments] => 11 [counter] => 186 [topic] => 2 [informant] => ManowarManiac [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 0 [ratings] => 0 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => LovePoetry )

This is so passionate. It explodes with love from every line. What a tremendous feeling you express within these words. Not only should you give this to her as a proposal..but you should also use it as your vows. This is an absolutely amazing portrayal of true love.

Thanx a lot, in fact I found an artist that can paint a background for this poem, and she is also a calligraphy expert to write it in too, so it will surely give us a lifetime of memories.
