Drifting through the air like smoke
Soon we’ll be strangers
I wish it were a dream, even a joke
But the question that haunts my soul
Is 'Who will she be?', this girl
This girl that captures the heart I could not
A heart for which so hard I fought
Years from now
I see you holding her tenderly
I smile and say hello
While my heart cries silently
The ring on her finger
Glistens like a dagger in the sunlight
Does she love you like I do, George?
With all her might
Walking away
I hear you say
‘Oh, no one honey, just an old friend’
As I whisper under my breath
‘So long, my darling.
I’ll love you ‘til death’
But the question still remains
Who will she be?
Everyday, I hope and pray
That she will be me [comments] => 3 [counter] => 223 [topic] => 22 [informant] => goodgirl [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 0 [ratings] => 0 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => LostLove )

Well goodgirl, keep on truckin' I suppose - now that sounds beyond cheezy. Wow, this sounds so familiar. I like this. It's good stuff you have here.
