[bodytext] =>

I sit on a hill facing west
I look at the sunset.
I think of the life passing by in the wind
and I hope the future holds happiness forever.

I sit on a hill facing east
I look at the sunrise.
I think of my life sitting here on this hill
and I hope to be happy in the future to come.

I sit on a hill facing north
I feel the cold wind on my face.
I think of the people left out in the cold
and I hope that they too will find joy.

I sit on a hill facing south
I feel the warm air on my cheek.
I think of my family that's close and secure
and I send that security to everyone.

I sit here alone as the rain starts to fall
I think how nice it'd be
if no one was alone anymore at all.
The seclusion would end in the darkness.

Belonging would be a new-fad
acceptance a new friend,
everyone would have someone to turn to.
Not a problem would be had
and we'd all be together in the end. [comments] => 2 [counter] => 206 [topic] => 21 [informant] => Hannah_jeannie_Brazeau [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 8 [ratings] => 2 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => Lifepoems )

Sing to us a new song,
Sing to us of the seasons!-
Bring to us verses subtle and strong
Enough to rend apart the very heavens.
