Conscious

Contributed by Cobalt on Thursday, 11th December 2003 @ 12:21:47 AM in AEST
Topic: oops

Lay awake so many night
trying to find myself.
Terrors roam all the time
trapped within my head.
Pull my hair while I'm screaming.
Reaching out to touch you.
Pulling back only air.
Love is lost
as is hope.
My only comfort that I have left
is lost at sea.
Why won't you please come back
as I still need you by my side.
Gave up all my life
just to try again.
Yet what you did
was slip away
when I was late.
How to know what is too late
is besides the point.
For all love
that was fleeting
I thought that ours
would last.
With sky above
and earth below
yet destiny was so cruel.
Storms and quakes
would set us back
and part what we should be.
With my life
and all I am
I try and try again.

The book of the spirit war
