I hate being close to things that tempt me into a whirl of emotions.
A palette, really.
I choose specific feelings to paint my life with--Or combine them, so I come up with a masterpiece.
Or a complete mess-
That ends up being thrown away.
I try to mix and match, so my Life piece comes out as clear and smooth as possible.
I always fail.
My world is always abstract.
Hard to understand-
Hideously deformed in the eyes of others-
And I'm always too speechless with my [SELF-produced] monstrosity to explain it-
My sight is my paintbrush.
And all I ever see is so raw and sharp-
Much too hard to make it fade away into soothing pastels surrounded by the
I make myself so sick.

It was not that bad and you should be less critical towards newer poets on this site. It was an interesting write. It does seem like the format is odd but it works with the wording and what I think the idea behind the poem was. |
