Face down in the grass

Losing anything and everything

When I fall asleep, I don't know what to think

Roll over beyond this
Toss my eyes into the sky

Breathe do deep it hurt my throat
In this bed of triumph in which I lie

Fold my arms behind my head

Listen to the birds fly through
Blades of grass that tickle my skin

Soft earth that stains our clothes

Never meant to hurt you
And this is goodbye

Taken on a different tune
In this bed of triumph in which I lie

Stronger than the strongest pleasure
Smiles softer than our lips

In my dreams is where we find out
Breathe the air, oh so crisp

Simple thoughts abide them
Single moments arise

Chances taken lightly
Surrender without compromise

This resting place, I meet you
Can't help to make me try

Such a beautiful tragedy to miss you
In this bed of triumph in which I lie

Never wondered yesterday
Nor asked what could have been

Life has taken control of me
Thrown in directions, I will fly

Soar through the clouds
And take back my eyes

Beautiful surrender
This bed of triumph, the hero lies [comments] => 2 [counter] => 304 [topic] => 54 [informant] => Exodus-On-Life [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 0 [ratings] => 0 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => happypoetry )

Great Poem! Full of emotions and meaning painted in a beautiful way.

"Soar through the clouds
And take back my eyes"

is particularily strong.
