It is your sworn duty to say so.
To criticize my beliefs while touting your own.
"The book is right," you say,
"follow it and you will see."
I say you're crazy.
A zealous preaching shell.
Not able to think for yourself,
not using logic or reason.

You tell me that I am wrong.
To not want to sing to him.
I pray and I mean it.
I don't waste words in a feigned show,
a community faux pau.
I show compassion to those in need,
not those who are worthy.
I don't discriminate different faiths.

You tell me I am wrong.
It is only you I don't like.
The pompous self serving fanatic,
so blinded that you don't think, don't feel,
can only be told what is good and bad.
I feel sorry for you,
as you feel sorry for me.
But I know my motivations.
They are only inspired by, not written.
This could make you try harder,
only time will tell,
but unless you figure things out,

Tell me that I am wrong.
It is your sworn duty to say so.
