Array ( [sid] => 2897 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => What I Need [time] => 2002-08-28 07:34:14 [hometext] => This is based on a conversation I've been having with myself over the past few weeks (yes I talk to myself sometimes, don't act like you don't). [bodytext] => -- What do you need? --
“Family, what a wonderful thing.
Though I love them so.
Happiness they can’t bring.”

-- What are you looking for? --
“Surrounded by great friends.
Always by my side to help.
But this heart they can’t mend.”

-- How about in your future? --
“Set myself countless goals.
Fulfill them I will try.
Though they won’t complete this soul.”

-- Is there anything you want? --
“Money, it is a desire.
It may make life more comfortable.
But me, it will never inspire.”

-- There must be something more. --
“Health, I’m told is good.
And it should be what I wish for.
If I had what I need, I would.”

-- Tell me you want life’s luxuries? --
“Do I need cars, boats, and toys?
Entertain me they surely will.
But can they bring me life’s joys?”

-- Maybe you’ll enjoy a good trade? --
“I need a steady career?
I’m sure that’s nice to have.
But will it take away my tears?”

-- Want some place to live? --
“How about a beautiful home?
Does it come with someone to love you?
Because I’m here all alone.”

--Do you need a companion? --
“Yes, but there’s only one I want.
She did not want me
And memories of her still haunt”

-- So, then she is what you need? --
“Yes, I need her by my side.
I need her here every day.
To fill the emptiness inside.”

-- How was life before you met her? --
“It was hollow then too.
When she was here I was whole.
Now, I don’t know what to do.”

-- Is there nothing that can replace her? --
“You’d better watch what you say!
She’s like a snowflake, one of a kind.
I’ll need her till my dieing day.”

-- What are you trying to say? --
“That she is all I need and ever will.
I have all these other things.
And I’d give them up for her still.”

i know what u mean...gotta love those snowflakes. :-)

i guess we just gotta hope that the whole "everything happens for a reason" thing is true. maybe she'll wake up and realize what a great guy u r, or maybe not...but at least u had the experience so when it comes around again you'll recognize it.

there's millions of snowflakes...u just have to weather the storm to find them.
