it clings to my nephrons and veins and the sinewy softness.
it tickles my eyes and punches anger in my chest.
once upon a time it framed you as a story book man.
looked like iron felt like air.

your calcified grip on my life and on my freedom,
will not reach past the earth house they will smother you in.
the tendrils of your way, your manner, they will sneak through.
they never leave the platform.
never snake their way out of the cave mouth and into the pasture,
where they could roam and develop and reveal themselves like
a cell to a foetus to a child to nothing.

captain nemo.your title.a
a pointless quest lead by a shadow.
stepping over the wounded, ignoring their cry.
their blood is black.
diseased with the intangible.
two lowly souls guarding you with a kidney sheen.

oh daddy when will you gather me up
pull me together
sew my skin back to pattern
pour my blood back to level? [comments] => 3 [counter] => 181 [topic] => 6 [informant] => xianthe [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 0 [ratings] => 0 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => AngryPoetry )
