Spent in these places I will never forget.
Just sitting and thinking about the things that I've done,
The crying, the laughing, the hurt and the fun.

Now it's just me and my hard drivin guilt,
Behind a wall of emptiness I allowed to be built.
I'm trapped in my body, just wanting to run,
back to my youth with its laughter and fun.

But the Chase is over and there's no place to hide,
Everything is gone including my pride.
With Reality suddenly right in my face,
I'm scared , alone, and stuck in this place.

Now memories of my past flash through my head,
And the pain is obvious by the tears that I shed.
I ask myself why and where I went wrong,
I guess I was weak when I should have been strong.

Living for the money, drugs, females, and the wings i've grown,
My feelings were lost, afraid to be shown.
As I look at my past It's so easy to see,
The fear that I had, afraid to be me.

I'd pretend to be rugged, so fast and so cool,
When I actually looked like a blind, old fool.
I'm getting too old for this tiresome game,
of acting real hard no sense of shame.

It's time that I change and get on with my life,
Fulfilling my dreams for a family and a wife.
What my future will hold I really don't know,
But the years that i've wasted are starting to show.

I just live for the day when I'll get a new start,
And the dreams I still hold deep down in my heart.
I hope I can make it, I at least have to try,
Because I'm heading towards death and I don't want to die. beautiful write...beautiful you......

So easy for us all to look back in time and wish we did it all different....but you know what GOD has forgiven you.....the devil now will come to you all the time and whisper and remind you what you have done but you turn around and tell him where he is headed and that is hell....GOD did not send JESUS to comdemn us..he came to fulfill....he came so we may live ...you know one sin is like another to god...i may do this and that and you may done what you done but when he sees both of us....HE SEES JESUS BLOOD ON US...AND THATS IT....Jesus died on the cross and his blood covered all the past and present and future sins....WE ARE FORGIVEN WE HAVE VICTORY....and your last line you dont want to die....

I dont think none of us do...
but be sure my friend that you have Jesus in your heart or you wouldnt be able to write such beautiful poems about him and to him and when its time for you to go and I to go we will be in his sight...paul says in the bible once we close our eyes in death we open our eyes in his kingdom and since he loves you and me im EXCITED TO GO...AND WHEN I DO.....I will meet you there......sandy
