As my heart breaks
Am I destined to always be alone?
As I walk the long road to home
I watch the leaves dance
I took a great chance
And now you ignore me
Why were you the only thing I could see?
As the leaves twirl around in a feverous dance
I remeber how you gave me a glance
Just the thought of you made my heart soar
For I felt love, yet so much more
As I am standing in place
Hot tears fall down my face
I know I am not the prettiest girl
But you made my head and heart swirl
I know I am not much to look at
But I love you more than anything, I could never deny that
You gave me life
And took away all my strife
All my years of loneliness vanish when I look into your eyes
Why did I not realize
That you could never love someone as ugly as me?

I love the way that you described your pain. I know EXACTLY how you feel. Please, keep writing, and whoever he is, don't let him get to you.

in every person there is beauty im sure your no exception to that , this was a touching poem because i used to feel this way all the time, i always saw myself as ugly even though others told me i wasnt and now i have a great guy and he tells me eveyday how beautiful I am, I dont always belive him but I know hes being honest, you just need to find the right person someone who can find the beauty in you and bring it out , dont let this guy get to you cus there is someone waiting for you just like you are waiting for him- much love jennifer

*sigh........* why always blame it on the looks? Did he really say that or hint that? Please, don't put youself down like that!... Well, there are only a few out of thousands are lucky enough to born with a look of super-model, but still, rest of us doing just fine! So don't let it bother you! And like I said, 'You are NOT ugly!' Trust me, trust youself!
