When the winds frightening howl,
Reminiscent of the foul,
World we live in,
Doused in sin,
Set aflame,
By the blame,
We place on each other,
When will love smother,
Us? Usher us to the light?
Captivated by awe and fright,
Where is the savior?
With his promise?
Where is the life?
Of eternal bliss?

Everywhere one looks,
Question marks are hung,
Shelves of useless books,
Answers reckless flung.

Savior, savior, savior,
Where are you,
Disgusted by our behavior?
Are you put to sleep,
Omnipotent savior?
In caves as deep,
As endless time, or,
As shallow as the soul of man,
Shallower than any icon bore,
Upon our walls. We ran,
From you many times before,
Yet quick to accept our penance,
As we return to you, with the semblance,
Of Angels about us.

Entering into your house, we tread,
With dirty heels,
To disrespect the dead,
And take symbolic meals.

Savior, savior, savior,
Take back your house,
Substitute the louse,
For the man, independent,
Of religion, resplendent,
In his own thought,
Give us a refund,
On this commodity,
Unto us expound,
The reason for servitude,
For one cannot clearly see,
Your earthly form, no certitude,
Can be found.

In the papacy,
Human decree,
Anchored in the frailty,
Of humanity.
