She can't remember why.
She doesn't understand the pain,
the comfort it brings her,
the beckoning of the blade.
She slices to watch the blood flow,
feeling relief as it trickles down her arm.
She is alive.

Krissy cuts herself.
In her room, alone.
Away from the world.
She is drowning.
Her tears hit the floor,
echoing of lost sentiments,
lost sensations.
She sweeps the blade across her arm.
Again.
She can feel the red down her fingers.
She is alive.

Krissy cuts herself.
She says its the last time.
She knows she's right.
Her crimson sin courses down her.
It all comes back to her now,
as the blood taints her bed,
bathes her teddy bear,
stains her innocence.
There is nothing but the cold now.
The blood makes its way to the ground.
It has come along way.
A river winding down from her throat.
All is well for Krissy.
She has taken control.
She is alive. [comments] => 4 [counter] => 359 [topic] => 36 [informant] => CodyJ [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 14 [ratings] => 3 [editpoem] => 0 [associated] => [topicname] => Suicide )

wow you've touched me deep with this one. i tried to find a favourite line, but there were so many. I loved this and the title is Spanish for 'Red Devil' if I am correct. Awesome poem hope to see more from you. Beautiful.

I love this poem, especially the line "stains her innocence". Gave me a clear image and feeling of the blood trickling down her fingers.
