I cast my eyes aside as my heart falls to the floor
Trying to find the right words but I'm just so unsure
Not knowing how to tell him that here at thirty three
There's nothing I could offer as there's nothing left of me
It's something I'm not proud of as it hurts me very much
To think of all the lonely nights without a lovers' touch
I can write my poetry and still never fully explain
Just how much it scares me to think of feeling love again
To hold such special feelings and share everything inside
Giving up my secrets for in his love I would confide
Planning little surprises just to see him smile
Sending him off to work each day in a very loving style
Touching on the warmth of him as he lays asleep
Giving up my soul to him as my love it stays for keeps
Making special dinners, talking about his day
Offering myself completely because that is my way
As I turn to see this man who stands before me now
I need to say I'm sorry yet I don't know how
For as much as I would love to love
I would always have this fear
That as quickly as he fell in love
He would just as quickly disappear [comments] => 4 [counter] => 199 [topic] => 25 [informant] => CrystalSilence [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 9 [ratings] => 2 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => MiscPoems )

CS,
That was just one time...can't be every time my dear.....It's hard to love again once you have that fear. But it's still better to love and take a chance of losing, than never to love and lose a chance for chosing. Life is a constant chance....from the minute you breath your first breathe....until the last at your death.....I don't know if this poem is you...but if it is when you love him...you are also love you!
Beautifully written and very meaningful!
Lovingcritters
ConSue
