Fighting all these feelings

Taking advantage of myself

Fleeing from the fires
And falling under the weight

Can't escape anyone else

Losing all the time
Darkness sets me down

Shadows cover everything
My body hits the ground

Thunder in the distance
Rolling through my mind

Ropes that hold my hands together
Clutching me all the time

Falling under pressure
Easing up the pain

Numbing me forever
Running away again

Trapped under boulders
Tear me at the flesh

Losing all my patience
Waiting for our lives to mesh

Bleeding from my eyelids
Catching all my breath

Can't escape the shadows
And I'm losing all my steps

Falling even faster
Cannot stop this descent

Make believe I understand you
And all the words you never meant

Waiting for a hero
Stepping up to the plate

Scared to get up from the floor today
And scared to know the date

Time never matters
I don't care to watch it pass

Cut me deeper with your blades of sorrow
Shatter my thoughts like glass

Falling under weight of a tomorrow
And I still can't face today

Missing myself from last year
I don't really wish to stay

Make the most of a bad time
Feel the pressure that I desire

Stepped out of the comfort zone
And I burned my body in the fire

Melt me down to embers
Burn away my flesh

Get me out of the fire
The ashes and my eyes mesh

Glowing all night
Keeping your hands hot

Leave me breathless and smoking
Pretend I'm everything I'm not

Tired of trying
And so sick of all the wishes

Waiting here as always
Missing everything this pile of ashes misses

Get tired of always waiting...

Toss the lamp to the floor

Catch the whole house on fire

And run laughing out the door
