Not just cry.
Bawl. Sobs.
The tears started and wouldn't stop.
The kind of crying that comes from your soul.
Deep sobs that take your breath away.
Ever had those?

Well once they started they wouldn't stop.
I cried for what seemed like hours.
I cried for all the tears I hadn't shown
I cried for all the loss.

All that I could say was "I can't."
What I wanted to say was..
I can't stop crying.
I can't make it all go away.
I can't fix everybody's problems.
I can't hold it in anymore.
I can't pretend everything is OK.
I can't make it all OK.
I can't bring back what we have lost.
I can't support everyone on my own.
I can't make decisions for anyone but me.
I can't go home again.
I can't stop thinking about what we have lost.
I can't undo the mean things I said to people.
I can't imagine life going on like it is.
I can't pretend I can do any of the above.
I can't cry anymore.

I just can't.

I used to crying like that every day after school and as I'm told my mom would put me in the ice cold shower and shock me out of crying.

Tha trouble with taking the whole world on your shoulders is ......the whole world doesn't give a damn.

It's good to see you are throwing off the mantel

You have a long climb out of the valley ahead of you but long climbs are made by a lot of short steps
take it easy, one at a time and don't look back.

I've been there, done it.

Really excelent poem, keep writing

bob

Look no more to the past, but stoop down and toil for your future. It is personal effort that makes all the difference.
