As they stand by the broken heart,of which they feel she is to blame
We cannot choose the journey,or ignore the stirring of our souls
We seek since birth completeness, the one who makes us whole

Two friends upon a road,of dreams and fairytales
Finding love there for each other, they never thought their hopes would fail
Neither had done wrong, its just the play of fate
They didnt see the telling signs, the dead end showed too late

Along the way they travelled, with the company of some
Laughter and good wishes had come from everyone
Then the dawn appeared and before her eyes she saw
All the many stop signs, that were never there before

Now after the collision of huge dreams and reality
She stands surveying the wreckage, through her tears she cannot see
For gone is her best friend, the one with whom she dreamed
A friendship that was strong, has painfully died it seems

All because her life had taken a twisted turn
Just because reality is a hard lesson to learn
Who we're meant to be with,is not a matter of the heart
Always our destination,is mapped out from the start

I really like this one. Destiny is, at times, a cruel and heartless soul. But fate is fate, as I was once told, and it is set in stone. Excellent and thought provoking.

This is a very thought-provoking poem and I want you to know I'm amazed at your inner sight and talent!
This poem will be read by each of us in a different way.
I've read it four times and each one was for another day that I lived differently, some were sad, some were glad, and some were kind.
You have depth and understand....and I'm so glad you share....for you truly do care!
