By Ashraf Gohar Goreja

Now I foster your orphan memories
In the wake of trailing sorrows
A stream of dragging, tracking tears
When I saw on your beautiful cheeks
It took my life for the last time
That prevailed and subsisted for years

What future now holds for you and for me
When the sublime of adorable moments
Abruptly collapsed like inglorious shadows
Turn askew making the resting souls smitten
At least, we had departed unwittingly
As the breathless winds survive over the meadows

After the demise of our sacred love
All venerated dreams were flown away
By the mournful winds and the violent storm
Which intended to enshroud the remnants of my heart
In a corner of a tomb that was kept for indecent souls
But divine power, ransomed me from atrocious dorm

I was in love with you for centuries I recall
Now I wonder why suddenly it happened again
We departed, you went your way and I am standing still
On a bleak cross road of life and death
Where I see stockpile of millions of lost souls
Struggling to escape, with their cries in deep shrill

How often I die and live again and again
For my hopes and endurance wouldn't be subdued
By the contender's ordain that would hardly perpetuate
Like wild flowers which look glairing from far distance
They grow, bloom and perish, season after season
Let the keepers of lost souls, sing, dance to be abacinate.
