The roof has been flattened, the nog has been mixed,
The snow has been falling, the scene has been set,
The old gentleman is coming by reindeer, you bet.

This year is different, for reasons within,
I'll welcome old Santa with eggnog and gin,
Years in the past when I gave him a scare,
Blocking the chimney with bird's nests and hair.

This year my life has been wonderfully bright,
I feel that the stars shine for me every night,
I feel that the moon shines down from above
On me and my dear with a silvery love.

My kids are bright as the silvery moon,
College and Mensa cannot be too soon,
All and all if you add it all up,
I'm like a delirious tail-waving pup.

Santa my man, please watch the fan,
Don't get entangled and land on your can,
Drop off your goodies and return to your flight,
Holiday greetings and have a good night. [comments] => 2 [counter] => 149 [topic] => 7 [informant] => norm [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 5 [ratings] => 1 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => HumorPoetry )

Dear Santa Claus....I have this wonderful friend named Norm....he's more than a riot, he's one constant storm....could you please give him a little "lea-way" He's really not too bad....kind of gentle for our day!. But there's one thing I'd like for you to do please. He does tell little white lies....all the time.Even in his poems if it makes them rhyme....There must be something in your very loving decrees that could over look all these little fineries....Please send him an automatic turn signal because his body pull is lagging and he's dragging to the left! Could you fix it so he automatically turns right?
He's been a pretty good poet, but doesn't know it.
Tanks Santa you're great!
One of your delightful elfs
lovingcritters especially Reindeers with red noses.
ConSue
I've been perfect this year!
