All I feel is anger as the day's end draws nearer
A wounded sparrow who can no longer fly
In the valley of yesterday where the winds of change die

Traversing the sirocco in the desert all alone
The oasis a mirage, each sand dune a clone
Just another corpse to become decayed and rotten
To be buried over time and forever be forgotten

Desire to find a place in the foliage to hide
As a lion excommunicated from the pride
Always on the outside wanting to be a part of what he sees
In solitude his story known only to the trees

All I sense is hatred when I look within my heart
All I know is loneliness, it tears me apart
A wounded sparrow who can no longer fly
In the valley of yesterday where the winds of change die

All I see is darkness when i'm looking for the light
All I need is someone to break up the endless night
The wounded sparrow still staring into the sky
Losing hope that someday he will again fly

A Beautiful example of a very lamenting poem...wonderful indeed....I was heart-broken for you...however, I see a need.
Whenever a person is down and out, can't get up again and fly....I have a perfect prescription to heal your heart before it will completely die.
Help someone, Assist another, someone that can't help themself any longer. Reach out and remember always, "Those that bring sunshine into the lives of others cannot keep it from themselves!" Find a young persons' program in your community.....forget yourself....help someone else that is hurting far more than you. Go to Nursing homes and visit with the downhearted, see those who truly have no reason to live each day...you will feel better when you come away.
I love reading to children at the Library...I can really "sauce-up" those stories....they love it! They would love you too! And before you know, you are loving VS and this time it is for TRUE! That's how I've always love me...for love cannot be kept or appreciated unless it's given away FREE!
Lovingcritters

...Maybe I'm just emotional today, or maybe this is just amazing; because I'm in tears. And I'm pretty sure it's the latter.

Great work once again.

Keep writing,
-Eve.
