i sat anear a rivers bend
the waters cool, and clear with light
from the moon, from my presence

i heard no sounds except of nature
nothing misplaced in the eyes of the woods

being alone, i had no worry
i sigh did pass my lips
as a hand did lay upon me

i gasp amist my sigh
did sprout and i jumped up in alarm
i cried out "whist is there?"
no answer...to my confusion....

i saw no one
i felt no one near

had my mind finally escaped me?...
or had my eyes simply failed?...

i looked through to the heavens
betwix the treetop limbs...
i asked sweet spirit to comfort me...
and as i looked back
there i saw him.

a kindly dressed fae
with enticing eyes
bid me hello with a gentle smile
then escaped into the wood

"whilst wait awhile, sweet knight!...i bid thee remain!"

but he had fled before my voice could start
to be hidden again...

i arose from the river
and gathered up my dress
and went quickly after him
to beg of him a kiss

many a while i searched
and many a while i found him
but he stayed not to speak to me
but disappeared in fog

will he not return to me?
for i am forever lost in this woods...
will no one return to me?
the handsome fae....with the eyes of
alurement....
and the voice of love?

return to me, my sweet sweet knight
returneth to your goddess
my prison in this forest
the spell that binds me here...

wilst it not be broken?....
wilst my heart not heal?.... [comments] => 3 [counter] => 225 [topic] => 48 [informant] => Ldy_Tryst_Vampyrre [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 14 [ratings] => 3 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => EmotionalPoetry )
