Array ( [sid] => 28210 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => Light [time] => 2003-11-29 14:11:07 [hometext] => this poem is about looking inside and believing about, following your heart and having the courage to express your ideas. [bodytext] => An ocean of dreams flood your mind
as they rush through your soul
there is a journey in the searching which is more important than the find
for success in itself is not what makes us whole, rather the growth that comes before

Growth is always bitter sweet
for in the moving forward, we must always leave something behind
spread your wings, soar high, if you fall, there is always your feet
knowledge gained and the desires of your heart, are in your hands to bind

the road ahead is dark and in want of light
but do not fret and do not fear
for all your courage and all your might
will gain for you that which you hold dear

let others not impose their cynacisms on you
let other opinions be not obstacles in your way
so do what you must do

Tallsman, this is an extraordinary write. way ahead of your time. For one to speak the truth takes courage, but when you have to back it up with your conviction...it takes much more than courage, it takes faith too!
It took me 50 years to say "No" and mean it. I was always afraid the world would end if I said it....then I got alittle bit braver and now it's just second nature.
I really enjoyed reading this poem....do you actually live this? I hope so.

There is something about inspirational poetry that does more than inspire the reader who is fortunate enough to read a poem like this--This is the type that inspires people to be better from the inside out.

GREAT POEM!
