[bodytext] => I told Jack and Jill Hill to both take two pills,
And I’d send them my bill in the morning. And then the old spider that had sat down beside her, Showed up in the room without warning. I said that I’m closed as he jumped on my nose, Then splat! Now his kids are in mourning. Then someone named Peter, a pumpkin pie eater, Dropped by to hand me a form. He said he understood, the red riding girl from the hood, Was going to sue me in court. A beanstalk she grew that she fell off of too, In which she had broken her back. So I treated her fair, but she’s still suing there, And she won’t even leave me no jack. And then there was Rosie, who brought me a posey. “But there is a ring, around my collar” she did sing, “And my pockets are empty today.” I said O.K. that’s good, I’m now going through the woods, To see my dear grandmother Mae! I crossed the river of course, upon my strongest swayback horse, That I found walking down the street one day! The other day a Horner boy, I think his name was Jack Was looking for the train that could. I said “did you ask Pinnocchio, for I don’t know a thing.” If anyone could tell he’s wood! Then there was a boy who had a plum That was perched upon his right hand thumb, And I remember thinking my that’s odd. But Tinker Bell interrupted me, And that was more rude than the mattress pea. Now don’t even get me started on those dwarfs. A horse is a horse of course of course, But there is only one of Mighty Mouse. I had a friend named Yogi, who watched Bacall and Bogie, But wouldn’t enter Huckleberry’s House. Then there was this rabbit who had a nasty habit, Of playing in the mud and splashing some pig named Fud, Beabida, Beabida, that's all folks. rob.burns2@verizon.net homepage.mac.com/robertburns2/… Humorous Poetry [comments] => 1 [counter] => 179 [topic] => 7 [informant] => Robert_Edgar_Burns [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 7 [ratings] => 2 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => HumorPoetry )
