There inside the darkest room
Shadows laugh and taunt me
I cringe within the gloom

A product of my past
A slave to all that stood
Helplessly I watched on
As bad stole me from the good

Still today I shudder
At the thought of all that was
For sometimes I still wonder
If my breath is a lost cause

Yet even through my downers
I still see a shining light
One that has me steadied
And keeps me from the night

Night time,wheres there's memories
Of all the ghosts that haunt and tease
Demons from so long ago
That will not grant me full release

Still I see the light
Shining closer than before
It holds me with such strength
I stumble,but not fall

Closer to this brilliance
Is where I may find some peace
And as I walk towards the glow
I find him waiting there for me

My timid smile,so frightened
A thought to turn and run away
But with care he whispers to my fears
"I am your home, its safe to stay"
