Array ( [sid] => 28132 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => Angels Cannot Die [time] => 2003-11-28 04:19:29 [hometext] => I was inspired to write this after I read a friends poem, where she talked about a point in her life when she contemplated suicide.I hope she will realise there are always people who care [bodytext] => Shocked, choked, When I read the chilling words
Sick feeling, the pit of my stomach churned
So puzzled why, what was the cause?
What plague spread through your mind
Cold shivers took me by suprise, sent spiralling deep inside

Your wish was to take your sweet life away
Put out the light of your darkest day
I did not know you through those times, much later I felt your pain
Reliving despair and your emptiness
Replayed on the page again

Your destiny I know is here
For angels cannot die
Your fate to touch more hearts and minds, not fall to death's goodbye
So no sad end, hold onto life, whenever your soul is weak
Remember those whose helping hands can give you what you seek

Your life is so precious
A gift so unique
To those with the eyes that can see
Not just wife and mother the roles that you play
But a cherished and deep friend to me

In time you will walk to heaven's gate
You will fly through a golden sky
But your mark on the world
It will never fade
