Pact Made

Pact Made

Doesn’t matter if you’re fighting for days, years, or decades.
Friendship never fades.
It’s a pact you both made,
Made in blood cut by the same blade.
It’s not somehting you give away or trade,
You stick together, even if you are afraid.
The game you both played,
Together, the stepping stones into the future you both laid.
In tough times, you both stayed.
And in love, you were both paid.
Sometimes pounds of pressure from a cascade.
But soon in water you both wade.
Entwined together in an intricate braid.
Together, allowing no bad to invade.
Together, you blocked the raid.
Helping eachother into the sun, out of the shade.
A friendship that cannot be portrayed.
Far from any foolish masquerade.
For our friendship I prayed.
Said to myself, this can’t be slayed.
Doesn’t matter if you’re fighting for days, years, or decades.
