HAVING SEEN THEM IN THE SKY,

BOTTOM LIP TREMBLING,
HIS LITTLE HEART BREAKING,

IT MOVED HIM TO TEARS,
AS HE ASKED HIS DAD, WHY?

ROADS AND PATHS WITH PUDDLES OF COLOUR,
ARE CAUSING THIS LITTLE BOY'S GRIEF,

TO HIM THEY'RE DEAD RAINBOWS,
STRUCK DOWN BY THE CARS,

AN INNOCENT'S MIND, HIS BELIEF.

WHAT DO I TELL HIM ? WHERE DO I START ?
THIS LITTLE CHAP'S REALLY DISTRESSED,

,HE NEEDS REASSURANCE, HE'S LOOKING TO ME,
I'LL HAVE TO GIVE IT MY BEST.

TRY TO EXPLAIN TO A BOY AGED 4,
THAT PETROL AND WATER DON'T MIX,

RAINBOWS DON'T DIE WHEN THE SUN GOES IN,
AND THAT SCIENCE HAS PLAYED A FEW TRICKS.

awww, I just loved this. I
can remember explaining such things to my son when he was that age. I wouldnt tell him they died, just that they left a picture behind for him while they took a nap.....dont you love the way childrens minds work, so sad they have to grow up sometimes.

Good luck with the task.
