Array ( [sid] => 27969 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => Goodbye My Friends [time] => 2003-11-25 23:55:01 [hometext] => This is my 100th poem on this site and I think that is enough. I am leaving as a writer but be assured I will continue to read and be your fan. Godbless you all and thank you.--Russ [bodytext] => Goodbye My Friends

The time has come
For me to fade into the night
But I hope together we have shared
A little romance and insight

We called upon the heavens
To inspire our very soul
We’ve waited for an answer
And love to take control

Poem after poem was written
And shared in this place
I hope I have done you justice
And written with humility and grace

But tonight I am writing
My farewell to you all
May your hearts be happy
Your spirits straight and tall

May you always represent
The gentleness of Gods touch
And may you find that peace
The comforts so much

May your hopes be fulfilled
And become dear memories of love
And may your heart always sing
In contentment as the dove

And to those of you
Who made me a friend by choice
My heart especially calls to you
In a kind and gentle voice

Jenni_Kalicharan, Christina lowman
Loving Whispers and Dream Weaver too
Ilhar , Lady Fawn and Venkatt
Words cannot express my feelings to you

And here’s to you all
Brothers and sisters of the pen
My cup I raise to you in blessing
And gratitude once again

Russ

Oh Russ.....this is the saddest news I've heard in ages...I've always enjoyed your work and I am sorry you feel that 100 is enough. Don't ever stop writing my friend...(You know you can't stop anyway).....
It was great sharing work with you...and I hope you wont be a stranger....Thank you for all your support and encouragement and for the beautiful words you are leaving us with anyway..but I won't say goodbye....just good luck...
Hugs and Best Wishes....
Jenni

Someone who writes as wonderful as you, will not be able to put your pen down for long, or never touch your keyboard again. You have shared so much with so many. I will be looking for more of your words as time goes by.
