So here's the first of 3 anti-Bush poems. I hope you enjoy this and yes it is an American tragedy that Bush is your prez. Ok I'll shut-up...* [bodytext] => *The President said those attacks underscore, "the nature of al-Qaeda: They'll kill innocent people anywhere, any time." - Bush*

That is also your nature, oh Bushman,
Killing children, old men, old women
Get ready for disaster
When children with prosthetic limbs
Courtesy of your 'freeing' bombs
Trample over your dead soldiers
For their FREEDOM...
Because you won't leave
Until every last drop of oil
Is sucked from beneath the desert sands
Your greed shall be your downfall

We have seen your "bravado"
Calling Hussein and bin Laden, "cowards"
While you hide in Camp David
With your bodyguard of marines
Where's you M-16 oh Saint?
Oh, "holy man" of God
Killer of the Iraqis

I ask you... oh wise man
Why can you show
Pictures of dead children
And burning civilians?
And call that "freedom"
And label that as ok?
But it is wrong to show captured American POW's
Were you embarrased Bushman?
Is it alrite for American soldiers
To cheer when they kill Iraqis?
Or right, I forgot you are Americans
And you can do anything
Oh Master of Hypocrites

Be forewarned, Bushman, that you will be destroyed
By children with prosthetic limbs
You've dug your own grave
And you've created your downfall [comments] => 7 [counter] => 388 [topic] => 8 [informant] => bobotheclown [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 0 [ratings] => 0 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => AmericanTragedy )

Though I don't fully agree......... This poem is well written. The way it flows from line to line and the way some phrases are repeated makes this a good piece.

Though an American myself, I have to say I agree with your poem entirely (and quite liked it, too). I neither support nor condone what Bush is doing, and-- okay, I'll stop before I begin to rant.

Joel! This is great. I totally agree with everything you have said. I personally am ashamed to have T. Blair as my Prime Minister (although you didn't mention him in your poem), and I was as anti-war as possible. Brilliantly written my friend, and with a great message, one that i wish these two criminals (Bush and Blair) would listen too instead of blocking out our words.
Love and hope,

i think it would work better. saying trample over our dead soldiers. cuz of his freeing bombs, like 25 of our troops are SOL .

I think what is truly sickening is the way SOME Americans seem SO callous. They are so imecilic that they cheer when bombs are falling, totally unable with their tiny minds to even start to visualise the people and children and whole families being literally torn limb from limb and splattered on their own walls. They are so jingoistic and moronic at times. And Bush with his ugly little monkey face cocking his hairy eyebrows as he delivers another idiotic sound byte - that awful smirk on his face. He actually makes Reagan seem like an Einstein! Another excellent rant Joel. There WILL be an end to all this, eventually these bastards in the White House WILL be driven out. Maybe it will even be this next time around, but if not it WILL happen sooner or later. No tide flows in one direction forever and Bush has mobilised such a tide of people and radicalised a generation who see just how much conservative America sucks and just how prehistoric their views. We must have a final end to these neolithic neocons. It WILL come - despots always fall in the end. Saddam did too though his own people should have been left to do the job as with Amin, Ceucescu, Honecker and all the others. ***** Bush For Christmas For A Better World! Agreed? *)

I might be a Canadian, but this poem I did agree with. I have been against this war since the very beginning. I still get upset when they show innocent victims murdered in the streets on th television. People that didn't deserve to die. :'( It disgusts me when the government thinks that THEY know what's best. It's wrong!!!!!!! Excellent job Bobo. *S* Cynthia
