how was i to know love wouldn't last...

All they said was you had a fall
I wasn't ready for what i saw.
you laid there lifeless,
your hands were as cold as ice...
The nurses so ------- nice.
Nothing good was expected i was a mess.
This was loves final test.
I know I had to be strong,
yet i was hard they had to be wrong.
One year ago today.
i held your hand as you slipped away,
Slowly even more each passing day,
Fighting all the while,
your longest yet final mile.
i will miss you forever...
my life has a chance....
in my dreams each night we shall dance,
until we are joined again
for death does not say when love ends,

| your emotions must have poured out for you when writing this......a beautiful tribute......actually......my favorite line is about the nurses......... too true........i've lost also.........and you put that experience on the paper so well..........my thoughts will include you my friend....... |

i have also suffered great loss in my lifetime and that has only been 15 years. i love this peice cause this describes what i can't write. this is an awesome write. i cried.

i liked your poem my ex boyfriends stepdad just passed and his mom which is my mom in heart. mom is being strong and not only has it changed my ex but it brought us close again.

Browsing I came across this poem of yours
The tears are flowing after reading this.
It tugged at my heart so much.
I saw the date as being last year
I pray the pain has eased a little but he will continue to live on in your heart always there by your side
