I was told that this place is where misery ends.
But would I fit through an entrance as big as a crack?
Would I finally be able to lift the yolk off my back?
The trial is tough, the road is long.
But hey, I know I can do it if I just stay strong.
I'm pushing on through, I'm going right in.
If I just keep trying, I know I can win.
I know that it's tough, but the reward's worth the trial.
This is my chance to once again smile.
As I go on this trip, there's something I realize.
There's a chance I can't go back, so is this journey very wise?
Bah, I can't look back now, I'm almost there.
Where I can be totally free, and be without a care.
There it is, I made it, I'm finally free!
Wait... this... this isn't like what I imagined it be.
I need to go back to where I was before!
What?! No! How can there be a lock on the door?!
This isn't what I want anymore, and I can't go back to the other side.
This new place is taking the wounds I had and they're ripped open wide.
I thought it'd be cool here, very nice, very keen.
But now I see it as it is. The grass is not very green.

To the Clown Prince,
This was such an interesting write. It's so true, we should be careful what we wish for, for it might actually come true. So right you are. I loved how it was a bit conversational. Just the style was so realistic, now too flowery or fancy. Very real. Down to earth.
You did good ; )

God bless,
Jellybellyprincess
