Array ( [sid] => 2773 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => Unexpectedly Shattered [time] => 2002-08-26 06:55:53 [hometext] => I dedicate this poem to everyone who has experienced heartbreaks or has been shocked in someone they truely loved and believed in. [bodytext] => A shining star has fallen tonight,
A shining star has unexpectedly become dark,
My glowing idol has lost its light,
Which, in my heart, has deeply left a mark.

All the purity, all the innocence, all the charm,
All the honesty and sincerity have gone away.
My very symbol of tenderness has done all the harm.
The gentle waves have turned wild and made me gray.

Day after day, my portrait of perfection and goodness
Has been shattering and scattering everywhere.
And I, unaware of the breaking and fading fairness,
Have been muddling and stumbling here and there.

Wandering and searching in the mist, yet in vain,
Still having the hope to find a beam of light.
But alas…I have endured all the grief and pain,
To merely realize that my star has fallen tonight.

Nicely expressed, my friends going through kinda the same thing at the moment, she found out her bf had been having an affair for 10months, harsh.

Thanks for the read, hope all comes well for u if the poem was autobiographical...

Hey, maha I am glad I read this. This was amazing and I found I could relate to it. Especially the last stanza, this was very well written. I have learned however that time heals all wounds. I'll be looking for more of your stuff.

thankyou for this poem, its always nice to know our feelings are shared (although not nice to know other people have to experience this horrible pain!) i hope whatever happened to cause you write this is getting easier..as the last person wisely said time does make things better, slowly but surely. my boyfriend cheated on me too and its so hard to deal with, but im coping. cant wait to read more from you! xxx
