[bodytext] => The War Of The Dragons many older folk say, wasn't like the wars happening today. First would come stories from far away lands, about how the dragons came and how the knights took their stand. There were tales of death and many narrow escapes, told over feast tables with full bellies and plates. Bent on destruction dragons spat their fire, and for awhile there things looked pretty dire. The King would then bid all his people to flee, and hide in their homes so they the dragons wouldn't see. Many a brave knight fell before the wars were done, and it was thanks to these knights that these wars were won. © 2003 Linda Ritnour/RainbowQueen (All rights reserved) [comments] => 1 [counter] => 198 [topic] => 40 [informant] => RainbowQueen [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 0 [ratings] => 0 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => fantasy )
