With the sun as its lord
The left eye causes the night time
With the moon as its lord
O Mother of the Universe! Mother of all!
Your third eye on the fore head above
Resembling a golden lotus slightly opened
Is responsible for the twilight
In the morning and the evening!
All glory to thy wide and auspicious eyes
Brilliantly clear undefeated even by blue lilies
Long and offering protection to the world
With continuous flow of thy grace!
O Mother Divine! O Mother supreme!
At Shiva the Lord, the expression of
Thy look is beautiful with the sentiment of love;
At goblins and demigods with dislike;
And at demons with that of anger;
At hearing of the great deeds of the Lord
With that of the wonder;
At the sight of your comrades
The goddess of speech and the goddess of beauty
With that of the light hearted sympathy;
And at me a devotee with great compassion!
Great men say that the closing and
Opening of thy eye-lids mark the dissolution
And the creation of this universe
Therefore it must be to prevent the universe
that has sprung at the time of opening of thy eyes
from going into dissolution that Thou
doest not wink but keeps thy eyes always open!
O Mother Divine! O Mother Supreme!
May Thou always look at us with glances of grace!

Great poem Have you thought of using stanzas in your poems.You write so well that the use of stanzas would make the poems ever a better read

By the way you remarked my poem was cute it talked of depression ?
Confused
