A symphony of soothing,in her lullabyllic sound
As I walk within the droplets,my hair in liquid strands
I too am cleansed and nourished,as is this beautiful land

Far across the way, through the mist of all that falls
Upon a branch of an old gum tree,a single magpie calls
His song of giving thanks, for the rains that bead on feathers
He and I ,within the storm, celebrate this beauty together

He eyes me now,as I venture closer, though he does not fly away
For this handsome spirit, proud and strong, knows my scent and stays
He remembers every offering,as the sun would find her place
Me standing by the wooded rails,my distance,a respectful space

Quietly we look at each,as though we speak with eyes
A softness falls upon his stance, and I am mesmerised
For in the distant silence, another call is heard
It is the homely song,of his love, his lady bird

One more look he casts to me,before he lifts his wings
Then up upon a tender breeze,he takes the song he sings
Calling through the mist,he seems to me,to say
You walk the earth,I fly the skies, but we were one today

Returning through the meadow,I tread softly on the earth
Silently,I must take each step, for the day has given birth
I hear contented sighs as she holds her newborn near
And realise all the raindrops, were her beautiful misty tears
