I awaken and sleep to the sun
Insomnia gives me too much time to think
Why even bother waking up
Can I please just sleep forever

Why even bother waking up
To another nail in the coffin

Leaving me alone to face another sunrise

I stay awake as the moon disappears
Imprisoned of my own will
Every night the shadows abandon me

Brooding and unique. I got a definite sense of resignation in this write, although I couldn't really ever empathise . . .
