But I ‘ve been bad
I have made you very sad
Forgive me for the words I spoke
Forgive me for the thoughts I invoke
Forgive me for the hate I give
Forgive me for the life I live
I know my plea may seem a bother
Being one of many daughters
For my sins your son did die
To give him reasons makes me cry
I love you father
Because of you I am delighted
Because of you my souls ignited
Thank you for this life you give
Thank you for my children you let live
Thank you for my husband Jay
Thank you for each and every day
I know my thanks may be a bother
Being one of many daughters
With your son’s resurrection
You showed me the right direction
I love you father
Fellow sisters and brothers are lost out there
For them I despair
Please help them to find the light
Please guide them for you shine so bright
Please comfort them in times of need
Please find those lost souls indeed
I know my requests may be a bother
Being one of many daughters
Your love embraces me
I will let it flow free
I love you father
Thank you for lending an ear
Ever need me, I’ll be right here
Amen

Rachel,
Wow....... I can't think of anything to say. You know, it's not easy being a Christian on this site. Thanks for the inspiration. I hope you keep the faith strong. I really love this write..... it's just so incredibly touching. A well balanced prayer--- forgiveness, thanking, and asking..... All in all it's wonderful. Thank you for sharing =)

God bless,
Jellybellyprincess

I loved your poem. I believe that no matter what we do, we aren't a bother to him. With your prayers and thanks and praise, you're doing exactly what he wants you to do.
