That you were my very best friend.
You knew me like no one knew me,
It’s too bad that came to an end.

You grew up, I grew up
Why can’t things stay the same?
I accused you of our dwindling bond,
But you’re not the one to blame.

I can on put the blame on myself,
You did absolutely nothing wrong.
If anything, you tried to work things out;
If only our love was lifelong.

I’m such a fool for ruining things.
Just think about what we could be.
Instead I’m here, feeling guilty,
And living my life in misery.

I miss the way you cheered me up,
The way I knew that you did care.
I miss our long, momentous conversations
I miss just having you there.

I remember now why it is,
I want you forever in my life.
Can we please forget all the horrible times?
And pretend that I made no strife? [comments] => 4 [counter] => 142 [topic] => 22 [informant] => Schnikes13 [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 0 [ratings] => 0 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => LostLove )

Just loved this poem. Read it twice already. Once you realize the problem and that you were to blame....takes away the pain, and the shame...I hope your friend understands, and will take you back....being humble is not somethig you lack!
Great JoB!

This was pretty good. No one is ever the only one to blame... Usually. I have a suggestion though. Make ammends as best you can with that person. Don't make the mistake of having to regret later on in life.
Love and hope,
Jeff
