[title] => Why Do I Love You?
[time] => 2002-08-24 17:10:39
[hometext] => I wouldn't consider this a poem, maybe more of a sonnet. I submitted it because I though some of you may enjoy it and maybe some of you guys can try to pass it off to some girl as your own one day. The girl all my work is about, once asked me why I love her. Not really a easy answer to give someone off the top of your head. After some thinking this is what I came up with. (this will also explain why I refer to her as "my sun" in some of my work). Feel free to steal it guys!
[bodytext] => You once asked me why. Why do I love you? Why do I love you the way I do?
To my surprise, I had no answer. I was left speechless. Until I took the time to give it some thought. So why do I love you the way I do? It’s an answer without words to speak it. Have you ever seen a sunrise? You can describe it as being the most beautiful thing you’ve ever seen. You can describe the colors of the sky, the sound of the crashing waves, and the smell of the fresh sea air. You can tell someone it gave you the most peaceful feeling you’ve ever felt. Does that do it justice? How do you explain the feeling you had at that moment in time? That moment when nothing mattered. That moment when all your troubles were gone. That moment when no one else mattered. That moment when it was just you and the sun. You can’t describe it. You can try as hard as you want. You can use every word you know. You will never be able to give someone that feeling. You can take them there to watch the sunrise, but it will never be the same. That’s as close I can came to explaining why I love you the way I do. You are my sun. You are my constant sunrise. You are that feeling. When I’m with you, nothing and no one else matters. It’s just my sun and me.
