A silent, seamless sheet
Each string a trace to long-lost past
A weave of silver-sweet

It's deep within the wizened soul
A silver serenade
To dreams and wishes long before
The longed, revived parade

It lives in every child's heart
And never stays one shape
An ever-changing photograph
The ruminant moonscape

To some it is life's great mosaic
To others gold aria
But be it tune or scene or shape
It transcends concrete ideas

It may not seem like much right now
Sparse and incomplete
But trust me, when you fill it up
Nothing is as sweet

For memories of every shade
--The blacks and whites and greys--
Are looked upon with great delight

More truthful words? I've never read them. Excellent work.

Beautiful read! After reading your poem, I think it's time to expand my vocabulary so I have more to rhyme with.

This is good - in fact it's not good at all - it's 'kin A.
And to think I assumed you were much older, which Is a definite compliment, as you could probably figure . . .
