how it gives you wings and makes you fly
I thought I found it
Now all I do is cry
TRUE LOVE: Does not exist

I’ve heard stories of dreams
And how they can come true
I think it’s just a myth
Mine never seem to
DREAMS: Only work when you sleep

I looked up the word happiness
A wonderful feeling it must be
I really want that feeling
But that feeling doesn’t want me
HAPPINESS: Only a fairytale

I heard a tale of love at first sight
It would be nice if it was true
I thought I felt that once
But she had to feel it too
LOVE AT FIRST SIGHT: A hoax

I been told all about hope
That it guides you on your way
I did all the hoping in the world
Still, she didn’t stay
HOPE: Synonym for torment

Someone told me of wishes
And how they sometimes come true
I threw all my change into a well
So… where are you?
WISHING: A waste of time

Then someone mentioned pain
Said it’s the only thing that’s real
Now that, I agree with completely
Pain is all I feel
PAIN: Proof of life

If we didn't experience pain..we would be dead. For to feel the embodiment of everything joyful and precious, we must first endure pain. For to accept the pain is to gain knowledge. We grow with our hearts closed...we die with them open. Such a sad life for us to dwell on everything we never had and not remember everything wonderful in our lives. Take each day as it comes and be thankful for everything happy that comes your way. For all the bad..there is an even more 'wonderful' waiting....

I really liked this, I especially liked the "terms" at the end of each stanza... good write!
