Array ( [sid] => 26837 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => Retired Poets [time] => 2003-11-10 20:01:18 [hometext] => It is so true, I've come to realize we always become retired poets. The Phantom [bodytext] => One day the words run dry, one day there are no more tears to cry,
Emotions fade, and we begin searching for yesterday,
The mind gives up, and your pen has had enough,
The world is so grey, and your heart is left tattered and frayed,

The heart can break only so many times,
Until the will is gone, and you lose your mind,
You pick up the pen, but can not write,
The sun shines, but you're forever in night,

Love come and love goes, why is this, none will ever know,
Darkness sets and you begin to regret,
The ones you left behind, the ones that believed your lies,
The harsh pain of the past, here lies an empty mask,

A fragment of oneself, to scared to ask for help,
Hell bent on making it, you pick up you pen, press down on the lead and break it,
The flowing words, and the beautiful poetry,
Gone with the wind, why did it end,

Tears begin to fall emotions so strong,
The paper bleeds, begging you to set it free,
You pick up the pen and you try again,
But to no avail, you're a retired poet, just accept it.

Forever Faithful
