Maybe this is how they have it figured

If terrorist attacks escalate
Then we can say how important is the fight
If attacks scale down
Then it just proves how much we were right

Oh, you don‘t think politics works like that
They wouldn‘t be THAT cynical!
Well, you know, I wonder...
Their approach CAN be that clinical

Read about Kissinger and Vietnam
The Paris peace talks had almost suceeded
Our Henry wanted a „BETTER“ deal
MANY more died from that one act
In Cambodia a conscience would have heeded

But with politicians you must take care
Don‘t grant them feelings that are fair
They work under quite different rules
And they depend on us remaining fools

Look at the way things are panning out
When will the NEXT explosion HIT?
Does this make Bush RIGHT or WRONG?
Where you stand hangs on where you SIT

In dangerous times we see so clear
All sides drawing battle lines of fear
All demanding THEY are right for sure
And using hard blackmail as allure
And just as in bloody days of old
They use fantasies of men so bold
Do YOU know where to draw the line?
Or are the New Fascists with you just fine?
Because THEY are sitting safe and shouting LOUD
