I see him coming
He carves my bark
It pains me when he makes a heart
I love you is the scar I bear
I love you forever I now wear
Forever I've been in your shadow
You shield me from the sun
Look at the scar I bear
My life has just begun
The little trees you see below
Are yours to love and to adore
And some day they will bear a scar
And I will be someone's guitar
I see him coming
He digs my roots
To build a house of ill repute
I love you is the scar I bear
I love you forever
Do you care
