CAN YOU SEE

Contributed by scottishdancer on Thursday, 6th November 2003 @ 12:53:11 PM in AEST
Topic: EmotionalPoetry

You do not see me for the person I am,
You see only what you want to see.
With a dull knife,
Your eyes pierce my soul.

I am dying inside,
And you can’t see it.
You see me as a freak,
But I am only different.

If your were blind,
Would you see me more clearly?
You can’t get past your eyes,
And see me.
I am trapped beneath your eyes.
