[bodytext] => I am the ball of light in your otherwise dark existence The light which you feed from I absorb your fears and your pain I take your punches, take your bulls**t I am the glimpse of hope in your eyes Conceited and stubborn I think I can heal you This padded room that confines you You have built inside your head I wonder what you hide in there Piles of what ifs, should ofs and could ofs Beaten down dreams never standing a chance Were the bruises on the outside or within? The possibilities fascinate me You try to convince me that it’s me and not you I am the evil root from which your hate stems A crime which is punishable by death...one lash at a time How long can we live off my life alone Rationing out my energy I can feed you for awhile But I am famished too, weakened and subdued I can feel your hate consuming me, draining my light If I stay here much longer I will be lost too So the question I guess now is Who is more important?
